Hawaiian Lomi
Lomi Massage Therapy is an Ancient
Polynesian healing art, a prayerful,
loving work consisting of 3
basic principles taught by Aunty Margaret
Machado on the Big Island, Kona side at
her ohana beach house. Aunty Margaret
says "Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is
different from Swedish massage because
the old healers always used Pule/prayer
in healing. We place our hands, in Ke
Akua/Almighty Creator's hands and ask for
Ke Akua to do the healing." She told
us "Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage is a
praying work, we are the vessel that the
Creator uses to help others. E nonoi ka
Haku, kokua ia oe. Ask Him he will help
you."
The therapist & patient must
Ho'oponopono/release and forgive before
the Sun sets each day. And it is Aloha,
through a loving touch, as Aunty always
instructed, for if our hands
are gentle and loving the patient will
feel the sincerity of our hearts, their
soul will reach out to ours and God's
healing will flow through both of
